In fact, that's the defining characteristic of flowering plants is that the ovary is fully enclosed and protected from being dry.
Wait, does that mean I'm a flowering plant?
And so the ovaries created a structure, which is the style and the stigma, the technical name.
And they are also able to be pretend wet.
So they appear dry, but the very surface of it has some kind of equivalent of being wet.
And it lands on the stigma and that structure is sticky or wet and the pollen grain hits it and it ruptures.
Just the most outer layer.
It pops off quicker than a fart in a skillet.
And the inside then allows the gamete to grow down style
and make its way through the tissue by growing all the way to the ovule.
And so it's doing that in the context of it being wet by this internal structure elongating.
That's right.
We're creating our own mini ocean in the process of sexual reproduction in the flowering plant.
