It's very weird.

Scenario.

Acceleration of the galaxies had changed over time, something not in line with Einstein's theory, no less.

Now with this changing dark energy going up and then down again, we need a mechanism, right?

We are in search of a mechanism which could be a shake-up for the whole of physics.

You know, maybe it connects quantum mechanics to gravity.

So it's one of these things that you just never know.

It may disappear or it may just get amplified and there'll be a whole new theory there.
