I mean, I'm the older twin, so I've just got there.
Once you get past the age of around 35, we all start losing our lung function.
Now, if you've got a lung condition, you lose it much more rapidly.
But if you're starting from much higher...
you've got a lot more years before you get any symptoms.
Well, I mean, the lungs are a thing you should never really think about because you should have no symptoms.
So symptoms related to lungs include breathlessness, cough, wheeze, coughing up blood.
So if you do any of those, something's going on.
Now, we all get seasonal chest infections.
viral infections.
So we all have a cough.
But if you have a cough and it persists for a large number of weeks, six weeks, especially if you've got a smoking history, then you should see your GP.
If you get breathless, then something going on.
That breathlessness could be caused by other things.
You might be anemic, you might have heart disease, but you might well have lung disease.
