In a while I'd I'm keen to hear how it is that you came across him, but there I just want to check in about his name as well.

So Rumi is uh what does Rumi mean?

Is that his full name?

What you know, what's his what is his full name or is he known by other things too?

And um you have all you mentioned that your parents also have a reverence for him.

Uh y tell us a little bit about how it is that you came to be in such uh kind of a deep relationship with Rumi, 'cause it's a very interesting story.

And this was in New York City?

And both your parents came from Iran to the United States, just was it shortly before you were born or or?

We're gonna have lots of opportunities to hear you recite various things in response to different parts.

But I'd be curious to hear from the first.

A are there any parts that you can recite that are in the original that are untranslated?

So we can get a feel for the contours of the sound of Rumi um as he wrote um himself?

Um uh with the gazal the i it's it's in couplets and the the last word of every couplet is the same i in in a repeated form.

A rhyme.

And w for that, what is he talking about?

And how do you render um what it is you just translated for us?
