Um I I y you have an interest in masculinities plural.
Um men show up in different ways in in your book and and and not just in one way in one poem either.
There's a whole variety of representation of of masculinities.
I wonder if you'd read um Snakes Because We Say So, it's page fifty three and then we can talk about some of those things.
I will say while you're looking for it, um
Uh Adrian has this brilliant reference to a cat.
Um as the cat bumbles another jump and keeps trying in the custom of dudes.
Where that's one of the ways within which this reference to masculinity is, you know, somebody who's bumbling something in keeps trying in the custom of dudes.

I mean it there's the there's the poem and that of, you know, the the protective parent who is kind of trying to educate through poetry um their their daughter in the ways of the world.
But then like it it it changes, you know, it's not just a poem like that.
Most snakes are guilty because we need to blame somebody.
Most boys fight so much because we can't tell anybody.
There is um there's lament in that.
And and calling something out.
I wonder if you could speak about those two lines especially.
This brings me back to the thought about antagonist.
You know, that comes up in the David Bowie the but the word antagonist is throughout your book, you know, somebody else sold the world and eventually the antagonists outdo themselves by undoing themselves.
Um and another place antagonists all over, mostly maskless as underprepared burglars burglars.
