There is a rich First Amendment protection history in our country.

It's probably stronger here than just about any country on earth.

And there have been numerous cases, even during wartime, where media and outlets published war plans

And the courts refused to censor the journalists because it's enshrined in our First Amendment that a free press is part of our Constitution.

This is not a negotiable.

This is the very first of the Bill of Rights.

And so what Cash Patel is doing here is not only just nonsensical, he's already lost.

I think he lost the previous defamation case.

But what he's trying to do, if he's successful here, this undermines all media, period.

because now anyone can be held accountable for anything that the regime doesn't like.

I'm hopeful, again, that our courts will recognize this and recognize that this is not a line that we can come back from.
