But what happened there, and I was on a panel with someone who was part of that administration at a high level in the trade policy, and I mentioned something about Roosevelt, FDR, and she pointed out that Roosevelt had three terms.

I mean, if you're trying to shift the ship of- Come on.
Yeah, well, I think this is a good direction for the conversation to go.
It's actually about the willingness to govern and discipline capital, which has been quite lacking.
And this is, I think, very relevant.
It's maybe a good place to kind of land in the conversation because so much of this is happening in the shadow of Chinese competition.
And so much of Silicon Valley ideology is emerging in the shadow of a kind of China envy for the last 10 years.
This feeling like that's a place where people can get things done, enormous projects.
Yeah, exactly.
Boom.
Things are streamlined.
They just clear the way.
Regulations are reshaped according to what the goal is.
And that's led to a kind of narrative that was propagated in two of the big books of last year, one Abundance, the other Breakneck by Dan Wang.
And the idea in both was kind of that Americans are too lawyerly.
