They hit by a kamikaze man.

He survived that and all, but saw some crazy shit.

My old man was in the Army.

Fortunately, he didn't get summoned for Vietnam.

My father-in-law, well, he's still my father-in-law, Jack.

He was in Vietnam as well.

These two, the last two are crazy.

I didn't know about this until later in life.

My great-uncle Jimmy, my grandmother's brother,

Um, he was a medic and fucking the battle of bulge.

He was a conscientious objector.

Cause he, he was a cat, like devout Catholic.

He, he wouldn't carry a gun.

So he was a medic, uh, like, like through some of the bloodiest battles in world war two, like the battle of bulge.

And like, yeah, he just had, you know, the red cross thing that didn't carry a weapon and just was a, was a medic for these guys.

Cause it's like, I only saw him, you know, as an old guy.

You know, he was always, you know, under the weather show, we say.

And I, and I realized why, cause he had PTSD.

stuff wasn't diagnosed back then they called it you know stuff he saw yeah you know uh what shell shock they used to call it so i and i didn't find out about this till later life and then this is the craziest one my my great great uncle hugh mcgonigal come over from ireland and he joined the navy uh to get citizenship and he was on the uss maine i know you've probably heard of it you know remember that yeah that's like the spanish-american war
