The fourth shita is that of Rav Moshe Feinstein.
Rav Moshe writes that you should not use toothpaste because it's memarech, when you smooth out the toothpaste over your teeth.
There is a major misconception that people have that they think squeezing the toothpaste out of the tube is somehow memarech.
It's not a problem to squeeze something out of a tube.
The problem is that when you then smooth it out over the surface of your teeth, Rav Moshe held you should not wet the toothbrush because that is a problem of schita.
And the toothbrush should not be washed off after using it because then it's a hachana for after Shabbos.
So Rav Moshe holds that the best thing to do is to put a mouthwash in your mouth and
And then you can take a dry toothbrush and brush normally with a dry toothbrush.
And then obviously don't turn on any hot water on the tap because that would be official.
And don't wash the toothbrush off after brushing.
I spoke to Rav Willig this week about some mikvah policies and things like that.
And I asked him, is a woman allowed to go to the mikvah on Friday night if she made early Shabbos and had a suta Shabbos
and wants to have a Suda Shabbos before going to the Mikvah.
