Why is it that everything I say is just like a new can of worms?

But I feel like this topic about standards, tiers, chain scale, this is like my favorite thing to talk about right now.

And yeah, obviously we don't have that in vacation rentals.

And I think a lot of people's opinion is that we could never have it.

We're too fragmented.

It's different than hotels.

Houses are all individual.

It's impossible that we could have the standardization and that we could set tiers that would have meaning across multiple markets.

I completely disagree with that.

I think this is absolutely possible.

It will absolutely be happening.

It's part of what will be required in order for this industry to mature.

And it is part of what will allow for anyone to have a brand with meaning.

So, yeah, I think all of that is...

important, required, and will happen.

But I understand the mentality behind how hard it might be, because I'm sure in hotels, that was exactly how everyone felt before it was all established.

So, I mean, I would say I was afraid always, especially in the beginning.

I had a lot of fear around the OTAs, control over things.
