Here's the problem with Donald Trump and any defense attorney that signs up their career and their reputation to help him.
The data doesn't lie, right?
I mean, he's not Don Corallone.
He's not committing crimes really in a smart way.
He's leaving huge paper trails.
He leaves witnesses.
He's not a good criminal.
And when you get to court, that's where the rubber hits the road, and that's why their victory total is basically zero to 64 in court, and that's not even counting crime.
The Jan 6 stuff, the Roger Stone stuff, all that.
So ultimately, I think the conviction will matter here.
I think it will matter a little bit in that swing voter bucket where we hear people on the stump talking about, you know, maybe if he's convicted, it would affect their vote choice.
But this trial is not going to have the same effect that something like the Jan 6 trial or the documents case would have.
Because, as Mark just pointed out very brilliantly in his fake defense close, it seems trivial to other people, right?
So there's a way to trivialize a criminal conviction here that isn't possible with the other trials, and that's why it's unfortunate that the wheels of justice have been used to slow them down.
Well, I make a distinction between Republican voters and then the MAGA coalition.
I agree 100%.
70% though of the party.
So we're talking about 30% are what we would call Republicans, traditional Republicans.
