Because that's why they're continuing the ongoing grants.
A lot of those are going to be research grants.
I mean, it's something to be grateful for as a person, as a citizen, as a person, you know, that wants our research to be top notch.
It is a Band-Aid on a problem they self-created, like they always do.
I mean, they always want to blame Democrats for everything, but everything that ever happens to MAGA, they do it to themselves.
And this is such a great example.

I mean, the damage just from one day of that would be, I mean, it would take years in some of these cases to recover a pause like this.
And that's why it's so, I mean, but let's go back to what you just said, right?
Like, it's not just that they're doing this and like, oh, it's doge and about efficiency.
Like the memo was very specific.
We're pausing all federal funding because we want to check and make sure that it's ideologically congruent with our dear leader, you know, Donald Trump.
And if it isn't, then we don't think even though Congress appropriated those funds under the Constitution,
And the former president signed that bill into law, executed that bill, and it is rolling.
They don't think the law applies to them.
And I have to tell you, as a person who spent the break between election day and the swearing in, you know, pretty much on team dictatorship, right?
This is, it really does indicate they intend to go both through the china shop, through the institutions, the rule of law, the norms of the, I mean, they're purging the DOJ.
So we have to take them serious immediately.
