And that allows me into treatment while I'm on a substitute and I can detox in a safe environment then.
You know, there is no risk of me relapsing or using in a treatment center.
Whereas I knew if I was doing it at home, sure, I didn't even have to leave my house.

So, yeah.
And I know I just kind of skipped past the whole methadone part there.
Methadone is very hard to come off as well.
There was no qualms about that.
It is very hard to come off.
But I just thought it was my safest option.
And thankfully, till today, it has worked out to be my safest option.
So I suppose how we got to rock bottom.
2022 came around.
We were coming out the latter end of COVID.
Things were kind of starting to get back to normal for the rest of the world.
I suppose it's beneficial to mention that COVID affected me in ways I never imagined it that it would.
I'm working since I'm 15, even with my addiction.
I always worked, I always held down a job.
As I mentioned, I always kind of couldn't settle anywhere, but I would never leave a job without another job to go into.
And I did hop around jobs quite a bit, in and out of college, these kind of things.
