And there was this real challenge of how do you create a feeling in people who maybe don't know about this date, don't care about this date,

don't have an emotional bond in any such way to this date, how do you make it feel impactful in any way?

And so I would say to my class, who can share where they were on September 11th, 2001?

And every hand would go up in the air, even the people who never participated.

And that's when the somberness of how a date can define time became very real.

And of course, now, tragically, I don't have this challenge at all right now.

I can say six words to you.

Where were you on October 7th?

That's it.

That is the defining Tisha B'Av moment in this generation.

And I was thinking, Dan, how part of why I really like learning with you is because we actually have very different worldviews and philosophies and approaches and perspectives.

And I think that that is exactly why our conversations end up being these vibrant and very valuable outputs.

And so I'm happy to be here with you, especially for this.

I actually think this is a tough topic.

So I think definitely it is appropriate to study together in the merit of every single person that we have lost since October 7th, 2023, and that their souls should be elevated.

That's part of the Jewish tradition.
