So we have to say, what?

What spies?

What report?

What was altered?

So everybody get in the time machine.

We go back 1313 years ago.

So 1313 BCE, you and I studied at Passover that the children of Israel are taken out of slavery.

They're taken out of Egypt.

by God with Moses as the wingman.

They traveled to Mount Sinai to pick up the blueprint for life because just because we weren't going to be slaves didn't mean there was going to be a free for all.

It meant let's go get sort of the plan of how we're going to live to infuse meaning and purpose and aim into our lives.

And we're going to take this new way of living, this Torah, this blueprint, and we're going to go live in the promised land.

And we wander through the desert and everything is not going according to plan because that's how we roll.

And it's about a year after we have received the Torah at Mount Sinai.

And we're about to go into the promised land to Eretz Canaan, the land of Canaan.

And the people get nervous and they say to Moses,

We're a little scared.
