This goes back to something that we taught our girls when they were little.

This is in Loving the Little Years, the first book that I ever wrote.

And this is actually the reason I wrote the book.

I wrote a blog post about how we were trying to teach them to control their emotions at the time they were little.

But we would just talk about your emotions.

It's like a beautiful horse.

It's wonderful.

And it has tons of

power and energy, but God said it has to stay on this path.

Like, this is the path that we're going on.

And from the path, because they were little girls, we're at the top of a mountain, we're seeing rainbows and flowers and all kinds of stuff.

It was like, there's a beautiful path.

If your horse dives off the edge to go down and wallow in a muddy ditch somewhere, you have to learn how to get it

back on the path, or if you can't, we will.

Someone is responsible before the Lord, though, to get you back in fellowship and walking with Him.

And that includes your emotions.

Now, the goal that we always have set is that you don't want, nobody wants a horse that has no spirit.

But the point is that it's, that you also have a capable rider.

You also have someone who loves what God has said enough to

to want to control this horse and not be like, oh, wow, my horse had an idea.
