You can get one for $8.
For all the talk about how upmarket Vegas is in the middle of the summer, in the middle of the week, you could get a hotel room for $8.
But it's not really $8 because there's a resort fee that's like $45 plus tax, which overall that's obviously still a very, very cheap hotel.
But I think one of the concerns is like,
people go and they want this cheap trip that they expected from Vegas, but they're all these fees, whether it's the resort fee, the water, or even like the Starbucks is way more expensive than a normal Starbucks.
And then there's parking fees and all that.
So
I think in recent years, a lot of visitors have gotten like fee fatigue.
And of course, the fees are a way for the hotels to make more money without having a high like upfront price.
I think it's a really big impact.
I know that there was an analyst who told me about some data that... So I guess before Spirit completely went out of business, it had had to cut a bunch of its Las Vegas flights because...
because it was trying to make more money and stay afloat.
And there's a theory that that was a pretty big factor in that shift last year of lower income people not coming.
And now Spirit is totally gone.
And it was, I think, the second biggest carrier into Las Vegas.
And
I don't, I mean, I had some data that was pulled for me for this story.
The flights that they were offering, you just cannot get anything comparable right now.
You know, these were like $40 flight.
