I mean, I yeah, we did meet a couple of years ago now. podcast-host

And Maverick has been such a a joy in a lot of ways to work with and also such a puzzle. podcast-host

Um, I think it's really hard when you're working with any child that has, you know, neurological activity in the form of seizures where we're building up skills and then all of a sudden, you know, we have some type of seizure activity. podcast-host

That we are losing some of those skills. podcast-host

And so I feel like we've definitely had that kind of up and down journey together. podcast-host

For those, you know, many of our listeners are practitioners, educators, parents, and many of us have experience working with children that have epilepsy and seizure disorders. podcast-host

Can you go into a little bit more detail around infantile spasms and how it might be different than other seizure disorders? podcast-host

How did you it sounds like you captured it on video, you're like, this doesn't feel right. podcast-host

Um, once you diagnose infantile spasms, then what happens? podcast-host

I feel like that's really good insight because oftentimes it's so easy. podcast-host

I feel like especially pediatricians are so quick to just be like, it's okay. podcast-host

Like that's not a big deal. podcast-host

You know, in the field of speech language pathology, we're always a little uh frustrated with pediatricians because they're always like, it's fine, we'll just wait and see. podcast-host

And then we miss valuable time. podcast-host

Obviously, in this situation, you know, it can be life-threatening. podcast-host

to not catch something like this. podcast-host

And so I think it's good insight to really push if you think there's any type of, you know, abnormal neurological activity, push for that EEG. podcast-host
