Uh Musk is saying, Hey, you can't do this.
It was meant to be a nonprofit.
So he's fighting against that.
Um there's also a a lot of other background and backstory there.

There's been a long time acrimonious relationship between Musk and some of OpenAI's founders, um chiefly Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, um, whom Musk has filed the suit against.
And Musk also has his own AI company that he wants to advance.
So you've got a lot of competing opinions and ideas here about what should happen to open AI.

So this morning seven lawsuits were filed against OpenAI by families of victims of the Tumblr Ridge mass shooting in British Columbia.
Um these are lawsuits filed by families on behalf of children who were killed in the shooting in February and um also an educator and um one child who has so far survived and is in ICU.

What's at stake here is um potentially OpenAI uh being considered responsible in some ways for the shooting.
Sub supposedly the um the alleged killer was using Chat G P T in the planning of the massacre, um, and was kicked off of Chat G P T but then got back on and the company did not report it to authorities.
So that's all a part of um these lawsuits that have just been filed.

Yeah, these are people that enjoy playing with new AI models and they had been trying to figure out um the names of various uh AI models for Anthropic in particular through a variety of techniques uh such as having some familiarity with what the online location of Anthropic's old models looked like, you know, what that URL would look like.

So I mean the key piece here is that um one of these people uh has worked as a contractor for a third party, not for anthropic directly, but for a third party that works with anthropic and through that they had um a authentication that they would need in order to access certain models.
