Shavon Zillas served as Musk's eyes and ears on OpenAI's board and as a go-between after Musk left.
But she contradicted his testimony, revealing he kept the extent of his pursuit of AI at Tesla secret as he poached top talent from OpenAI.
Later testimony shed unflattering light on Sam Altman, too.
A former board member explained Altman's five-day ouster in 2023 stemmed from concerns that he wasn't being straight with the board about which AI products had cleared safety review.
Altman has yet to testify.

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, started in Greg Brockman's living room a decade ago.
Brockman said he and Sam Altman built OpenAI's team with a little help from Elon Musk.
Testimony also revealed Brockman went from a salary of $175,000 to an equity stake worth some $30 billion today thanks to undisclosed compensation from Sam Altman, a hidden financial arrangement Musk's lawyers say proves profit was always the real priority.
OpenAI says Musk knew profit was always the plan and was fine with it until he lost control.
Brockman will return to the stand, followed by testimony from Siobhan Zillis, the mother of four of Musk's children, and for a time, his eyes and ears on the board at OpenAI.

Musk is suing OpenAI, saying it betrayed its founding mission.
Just two of his claims survived to trial, breach of charitable trust and unjust enrichment.
But this case is proving to be less about California nonprofit law and more of a legal boxing match between the world's richest man and OpenAI, the company he helped launch.
