In my opinion, and some of you may disagree, a lot of you probably will, but I do wish Joba was charged with two counts of murder for the baby that never even got a chance at life because this was not something that was brought up a lot or even at all that I saw at trial.
That might be controversial to some people, but for me, I think the fact that in South Africa, abortion is no longer allowed after three months, that means that they consider this a person.
Again, whether you agree or not, to stay consistent with the law in general.
Why isn't her baby's death being treated as a murder?
That is just hypocritical to me because you know if she went out and aborted that baby at five months, she may have been called a murderer and may have been even charged with murder.
So why does Shoba get to murder a mother and her unborn baby and just get off with one count of murder?
That doesn't make any sense to me.
It's inconsistent.
It's hypocritical.
Shoba, according to South Africa's law, took two lives.
And I stand by that.
Again, you might disagree.
Even if you are totally for abortion, unlimited, full access, you have to agree that if one place's law is after this amount of time, it is a baby and you cannot get an abortion.
If somebody else ends your pregnancy for you, that should be considered a life as well.
Not just if the mother wants to do it.
So that is my opinion.
I think there should have been two charges of murder in this case.
And I think it is an injustice that there was only one charge because that baby deserved to live.
That baby deserved to be raised by her mother.
And it's just such a tragedy that she never even got a chance because of someone's selfish, selfish actions.
