Now, let's get back into the investigation into Kevin's death that was happening while Joanna was out there running around and stabbing anybody she could get her hands on.
Like I said, because of the fact that police thought that this was a personal attack, police started to track down the people who were in Kevin's inner circle.
So, they started with using Kevin's cell phone data to see who he was in communication with and that is how they found Gary Stretch and Joanne.
They were tenants of his.
So they used this to track their cell phone data and they found that their cell phones pinged in the area where Kevin's car was dumped and set on fire around the same time.
So police started to try and track down their movements.
Gary, Joanne and Mark had all traveled over 140 miles to the location of these new attacks from where they had dumped Kevin's body.
But along the way, they had stopped at multiple gas stations and other places for food, cigarettes, alcohol, and snacks.
So police were able to track their movements using CCTV footage, and they were also able to spot that Vaxhall Astra that they were driving.
Once they found that car, they put out an announcement to all patrols in the area that this car had been used in multiple violent crimes.
In total, Joanne, Gary, and Mark were only on the run for two days.
Pretty much immediately after this announcement was sent, a patrol officer in Hereford spotted the car with the suspect inside who met the description.
The car was parked off on a side street in a cul-de-sac area and
And in that car was Gary Stretch, Mark Lloyd, as well as Joanne Dennehy, who is clearly out of her mind on drugs and alcohol.
And there was also a dog in the backseat barking its head off.
So the officers, Andy Moen and Paul Hunter, they put on their lights and came up behind the car.
As soon as they pulled up and one of the officers stepped out of the patrol car, Gary sped off in the car.
And from there, a car chase ensued.
The chase lasted along A480 road until other patrol officers noticed the scene and recognized the car and the suspects and went along to help.
The chase lasted for only 16 miles before patrol officers were able to stop them.
