meaning he likely knew about the abuse that Oakley was suffering at Roan's hands and did nothing about it.
Roan then placed Oakley in the car and left the home, returning about an hour and a half later.

But they all also said that Madison was with him at every turn.
She was with him when Tennessee returned the car.
She left in the car with him.
She was in the car when Roan was driving and called his sister.
She was with him when they returned back to the home after leaving when the sister was at the house.
So no, officers did not believe the story that Roan left on his own to go dump Oakley somewhere.
So, in a second interview after more pushing, Madison admitted that she did leave the house with Roan to dispose of Oakley's little body.
Her lips turned blue, and Madison could no longer feel her heartbeat.
They then drove all the way to Martinsville, where they pulled off the highway and took multiple rural side roads, all which led them to an old, abandoned, dilapidated home.
Rowan told her it was his grandparents' home.
Rowan then got out of the car, grabbed Oakley, and carried her inside through a window.
