So, immediately, Reagan's roommates went over to the bodega to see if anyone there knew where she had been, and they confirmed that Reagan showed up to work, she worked her shift, and left in her car that night.
But Reagan's manager knew that it was very odd for her not to show back up home and not to show up to classes.
So, he quickly filed a missing persons report with the local authorities.
Columbus Police, Tech 62.
Pretty much immediately after this 911 call was made, Columbus police started their investigation.
They talked to everyone who knew her, and this is when they learned that so many people had been trying to get into contact with her without success.
They knew that for this young, vibrant college student, this behavior was very out of character.
At the same time, Reagan's friends all started posting to social media to spread awareness about her disappearance and to ask for anyone who knew anything to come forward with what they knew.
Of course, when it comes to missing persons cases like this, the first person that police will look into are the past and current partners of that missing person.
For Reagan, police immediately looked into Jake.
Like I said, they had just broken up, so maybe there was some animosity there.
However, almost immediately, police were able to rule him out.
Multiple people vouched for him, including friends of Reagan's, and he did have an alibi for the time that she went missing, so there was no further information that he could offer.
However, the searches for Reagan did not last long.
By around 1pm on the afternoon of February 9th, 2017, 911 received a call from a man, clearly distressed, who just discovered the naked body of a young woman lying on the ground near the entrance of Scioto Grove Metro Park.
When police arrived, they found the naked body of a young woman lying on the ground, partially covered in snow.
At the scene, police were unable to find any form of ID.
They couldn't find the wallet and no personal belongings.
Not even her clothes were anywhere to be found.
Initially, because of this, the body couldn't be identified because again, there was really no way to identify a random body without the proper identification on them.
