Is it surprising that someone who is giving that kind of outside image
could go on to commit such an awful crime.
So is this a case of someone who, you know, managed to masquerade
you know, and hide this almost double life that he had going under the surface.
Cause obviously he comes across as very passive, very calm.
that kind of very calm outward demeanour to then go on to commit such violence.
So was it a case of him masquerading his true self, or is this someone who just snapped?

So the way he treated Shinan and the way he treated the children is different, obviously with the strangulation and the smothering.
Can you tell us a bit about, you know, what that shows in terms of his emotions towards them?

I think that's what's so shocking with this case.
I mean, this was a man who to the outside world seemed to be this perfect father, this perfect husband, and that's something that even now
family, friends, family on both sides, neighbors, everyone still maintains.
So it's quite interesting, you know, we cover a lot of crime cases and usually you get people saying, Well in hindsight there was this red flag, there was this warning sign.
Is anyone saying that?
There really doesn't seem to be that here.
This does seem to be
A case where people, everyone around them was so blindsided, to the extent that, you know, one of their close friends even took him into the home.
