And on the front end of that, the first 20 years that you're raising kids, it feels kind of thankless sometimes.
And you go, what am I doing all this for?
It's so my friends are out at the concert.
Every job feels like that.
So when you put in all that hard work and sacrifice on the front, now I'm in my mid 40s.
My kids are all grown.
I have children that are like in their mid 20s adults.
My youngest is in high school.
I have more time to do other things.
That's why I said we give women backwards advice.
We tell them, spend all your fertile years building an education and a career.
And then later, if there's time for a family, maybe you can do that if you want to be weird.
What we should tell women, I think, is you can do a lot of things.
I'm not saying you only have children and you never do anything else.
And that was never the case historically.
It was never the case.
I had my first child at 20.
