And the myth, I think, I definitely don't think that penalties are a lottery anymore, for sure.

Would you think then that it is coming down to some kind of psychology then?

I was chatting to Dr. Aoife Quinn today, a sports psychologist, and she was saying that it really doesn't matter your technical ability as much.

When you get to the point of penalties, it's your mental strength that's coming in.

And she agreed with you that it's hard to replicate, like a

penalty shootout in a training ground, but just having one routine that you know what you're going to do when you pick the ball up.

So you're not kind of standing on the penalty spot and all of a sudden you're like, Jesus, do I look at the keeper?

Do I look at the ball?

Do I engage with the crowd?

And she said, just making sure you have a routine that you know exactly what's going to happen.

Technical ability doesn't come into it as much then.

Do you think, Keith, that, you know, when you said there, no one in the country is laying the blame on anybody for missing penalties because we all know how difficult it is.

But do you think sometimes we lean into the narrative that it's a lottery because we want to forgive players that miss and it's such a hard thing to do?

So we'd all go, oh, look, it is a bit of a lottery and we're not going to make this person a scapegoat because it's not in our national instinct to do that.
