I'm 35.
My husband is 47 and we have two children under three.
Our home is worth around $1.25 million and we owe $639,000 on the mortgage.
We hope to use our equity to invest in property, but our borrowing capacity isn't high enough to make that work.
Given my husband's age and the fact that he's a tradie, we'd love for him to be able to step away from the tools or reduce his workload by the time our kids are school-aged, but it seems hard with the huge mortgage.
