You've been reporting on the government and the coalition working towards a deal to pass gambling reforms.
What do we know so far?
And we know that there are internal divisions on both the Labor and Coalition side.
And I want to talk about the Murphy review, as well as Labor working with the coalition and not the Greens on this a little later.
But first, you mentioned inducements there.
We saw former NRL player Luke Bateman make some really confronting allegations at a Senate inquiry last week against gambling giants for tactics used to basically lure punters into spending more.
And that catapulted this practice of inducements into national conversation.
Can you remind us what he said there?
And is this the first time we've heard such explicit description of inducement tactics like this being used?
Do you think his testimony then forced the government to walk back its resistance to taking further action on inducements?
And this conversation goes back years.
Three years ago was late Labor MP Peter Murphy's landmark review.
Can you briefly talk us through the public and political discourse inquiry and reporting on gambling reform that has led us up to this point?
