Assuming that that is the goal for each team, and since they're both still in the playoff race very much, I figure pick up where you leave off.

So I want to go with three things.

I'm going to start with the Cubs, Marshall.

How are you feeling as we get the scene setter going?

They're in a much better place now than they were even two weeks ago.

The month of July went well for them.

So well that I argue, I know they love a break, but I even think that the All-Star game may have come at a bad time for some of these guys.

I think that's a fair thing to say.

Just to remind everyone, the month of July is only halfway over.

So I'm interested to see what happens the back half of the month to say it's doing.

But yeah, their last month has been spectacular.

Best record in baseball at 28 since June 11th.

So yeah, yeah.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts and to share mine as well.

I'm going to start with Alex Bregman because his rebound has been a part of the reason I think the Cubs have gotten better offensively.

Sweeping the Mets also helped.

But when you consider that Alex Bregman for the month of May, the entire month of June, rather, for the entire month of June, only had three doubles to his name.

Only had two home runs for the month of June.

That is not what you ask out of your highest paid free agent in the offseason, your big name acquisition.

He knows that.
