So, call in Ray for me.

I would like to see him go at least five innings in his outings each of the times.

Now, he had a seven-inning outing against the Houston Astros.

That was back in May.

But he had a couple where he only went four and two-thirds.

You know, that was against the Giants and the Rockies last month in June.

So, can he at least go five innings?

I'm not even asking for six out of him.

I'm asking for six out of James and Tyone Ochoa to Imanaga.

I think that's fair, even though I know our expectation for Shota has changed.

The other metric for me is this.

Can those two players, the pitchers who are known to give up home runs, can they lessen the home run numbers to solo shots and ideally, ideally, this is a big ideally, to a game?

If I just can build in two earned runs per game via a solo home run each for those two,

I think this thing is sustainable.

And I didn't say I needed magic to happen.

But if I can get tangible goals out of some of these guys, I think things look a lot different for the Cubs team moving into next month and into the rest of the season.

To be clear, when you say the two earned runs off of solo home runs, you're also saying they're allowed to give up other runs in other situations as well.

But you just need the home run damage to be lesser.

Correct.

Don't have ducks on the pond when you're giving up the home runs.
