I should have figured out a way how to do that creatively because I really did myself a disservice in building that genuine fan connection.
And that's something that I'm building right now.
A lot of people have never heard me speak or share my opinion.
And sometimes they hear it and they're shocked like, wow,
Like you're actually intelligent or you have an opinion because all they saw was this heel character for so many years.
And going forward in the future, the Gen Z crowd, they love that connection.
They love real stories.
I'm going to make another controversial statement.
whatever is happening backstage is far more interesting than what's happening on television would you agree is that is that good or bad though it doesn't matter if it's good or bad it is what it is yeah okay i think it's good okay now again the wrestling business its end goal is to make as much money as possible now let me ask you this
Does WWE profit more by pulling the curtain back?
And even in a way, selling extra content to Netflix, here's another series, or do they benefit more by keeping wrestling kayfabe, keeping everything a secret, keeping wrestlers in character versus wrestlers showing their vulnerabilities, building that connection, pulling the curtain back?
What do you think is best for business?
I'll give you another example.
You're a Dallas Cowboys fan.
I watch no football, but I will watch hard knocks.
And a couple years ago, I watched hard knocks Dallas Cowboys.
And just seeing the struggles of the athletes trying to make the roster getting cut and the pressure that their wives and kids felt, that did more for me than any football match that I've ever seen.
And then since then, anytime I would watch television and Dallas Cowboys were on, I'd watch out for those players.
Or when I would see them on Hard Knocks, I would Google them.
I'd be on their Wikipedia.
