Uh what we do know he's got a very rare injury that no other hockey player uh has really ever had.

They're looking for cases to compare to.

Uh it's a knee injury, uh muscular injury injury, which is something that uh was suffered in the first round against Nashville last year late in game one.

Now beyond that, this is a guy that was at training camp for the first day to speak to the media.

He's been skating.

Uh in Penticton, he was hitting the ice before the team.

Here in Vancouver, he hasn't been hitting uh the ice with the team during practice.

Uh we don't know if he's been hitting the ice otherwise because we aren't in the the building.

Uh really it's an open-ended question.

Uh Rick Tockett has said that he's had a lot of good days, but it's a a pretty generic statement and a pretty open-ended statement.

So it is the mystery in Vancouver.

The fact that they went out and and

ended up signing Kevin Lancolin on on a great deal, on a one year deal, uh tells you that they did need somebody back there because who knows.

There there's a lot of questions that I think that the Thatcher Demko is s uh searching for, the management team is searching for.

So they were able to get some cover, but what the future holds for Thatcher Demko, uh we're not sure at this point.

Well, one thing that adds to all of that, you're right, you know, the Jack Adams winning coach did the work last year.

I feel like this year, this group of players, even though there are real questions, right?

JT Miller hasn't played a preseason game.

There's he kept it pretty uh tight lift to say he was dealing with something, but he wouldn't specify what he's playing tonight, which is a great sign for the Canucks.

But even beyond that, you know, there's confidence in the younger players.
