The federal subpoena is asking for the names, home addresses, email addresses, and personal phone numbers to be sent to the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Fulton County Commission Chair Rob Pitts says it's part of President Donald Trump's fixation on the 2020 election,

and his efforts to harass and intimidate the county.

Pitts also believes that Fulton County is being targeted as part of an effort to nationalize elections.

All of this is happening as the southern part of the state deals with extreme to exceptional drought conditions.

There's now a mandatory outdoor burn ban in place.

The governor says one of the largest wildfires is believed to have started when a balloon hit a power line.

Fulton County Commission Chair Rob Pitt says the targeting of the county is about President Donald Trump not accepting his 2020 loss in Georgia and claims it was stolen specifically in the county.

Fulton County leaders are also worried the raid will be used as a pretext for the Republican-led state election board taking over the county election board ahead of the 2026 midterms.
