Everyone's got to die.
No, no, no.
The Bible tells us the wages of sin is death.
God is paying you in death for your sins.
Like a judge who looks at a heinous criminal that's committed multiple murders and says, I'm giving you the death sentence.
This is your wages.
This is what you've earned.
And I say, sin is so serious to a holy God, he's given you and I the death sentence.
You're on death row.
You're in a nice holding cell with a blue roof, good air conditioning, good lighting, but this life is a holding cell.
And your death will be evidence to you that God is deadly serious about sin.
And I say, do you think God is justified in giving you the death sentence or are you a good person?
And they'll say, I'm a good person.
Go through the commandments and they'll say, he's justified.
I've been hiding my sin.
And then the cross makes sense to them.
So that's the first key.
And the second key is the knowledge that this person has a conscience.
The word conscience means with knowledge.
We touched on it before.
