That's the problem, fear.
But there are certain things we can do to take Goliath down to Zacchaeus.
And I handle my fears this way.
If a firefighter looks at a building, fifth story, sees a mother and two children screaming for help.
It's on fire, wooden building.
They're going to be dead.
burned alive within five minutes.
He looks at a 60-foot ladder that he has to climb amidst the smoke, amidst the sirens, amidst the screaming and the heat, and having to reach out 60 feet up and take two children.
Is he terrified?
Absolutely.
Would he rather be at home with his wife and kids?
Of course.
But what does he do?
He handles his fears by not thinking of his own problems, but that woman and her two children.
And that's how I handle my fears.
