You know, maybe this last season, why not give himself a shot at a World Series?
I don't think those teams that are truly contenders in Major League Baseball are thinking that Andrew McCutcheon is their missing piece.
I agree with you, but I think the city game doesn't.
I would be very upset if Andrew McCutcheon was not a part of this year's team.
Maybe that's a little bit of an over-exaggeration, but I still think there is a role for him as a right-handed bat, as a DH, against left-handed pitching.
They're a very left-handed hitting lineup with Cruz.
They brought in O'Hearn, Brandon Lau.
O'Hearn has reverse splits limits.
He's still a left-handed hitter, which is what I said.
And Brian Reynolds, who's a switch hitter.
So, I think that McCutcheon is valuable in spots.
You're not going to start him every day.
He should not be your everyday DH.
I'm not saying that.
But against lefties in late-game situations, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th inning...
I think he could still be used as a pinch hitter, and I still think that that last spot on the bench, maybe we're overvaluing how much that guy is truly going to be used in a DH lineup because I think we've seen over the past years that that last guy is not utilized as much as people might think.
So you also pointed something to my attention, Joe, about what Keith Law had to say about Connor Griffin.
So, of course, Keith Law made Connor Griffin the number one prospect on his list for the Athletic, saying he's the most exciting prospect we've had in the minors since Mike Trout.
