That's why it's useful for them to have myself and Eoin and Shane there because we have that background in forensics.

Because there's an ID program attached to this excavation where if they get samples of DNA from family members to compare against any remains that we do recover, that DNA can be obtained from them.

The bones can be so sensitive that we have to be really, really careful.

So that's why we're the evidence managers, but we're also, we're not forensic consultants because Dr. Niamh McCullough is our senior forensic consultant on site.

But we're like that.

The guys have a question about forensics or about the suits they'll have to wear, they come to us.

We do refreshers with them as well to make sure everything is done right.

But it's like being, I'd liken it to being at, like we went on jobs for days, sometimes weeks.

I know I was never away that long myself.

Some people have been.

But it's like being on one big, long job.

You know, and just working with people from all around the world.

There's guys from the UK, guys from Australia, America, Colombia, Canada, and a lot of Irish people there.

And it's a pleasure to work with them.

And I'm actually really, really interested in what they do.

It's a privilege, as Eoin had said, to work with these guys and to see them in action because the archaeological approach they bring to the site is... It wouldn't be something... I mean, it'd be something that we wouldn't have been exposed to before.
