with other uh writings of the same time and they're able to to uh
to fix the date much much earlier.

Yes, they were written less than a century after our Lord died.
They were they w they were written in that period after his death when they the initial preaching of the gospel.
Because we we have s must remember too that in that in those times in in that culture, people are accustomed to memorize long accounts and
And very accurately so.
There w there's simple was w what was called the oral tradition.
And people would hand on long accounts of things that had happened, and this was true also, of course, with the uh the apostles and the disciples of our Lord.
And uh w with that then, uh
the Gospels were written.
There are four Gospels, as you know, and uh three of them are called synoptic 'cause they're very similar.
Saint John's is uh is uh is distinct in that it it has uh a much more elaborate uh theological presentation of our Lord.
And it isn't and that isn't because it was later, it simply was uh uh a a particular
gift that he had, uh uh especially being the Lord's beloved disciple and also taking the care of his his mother.
But uh so through the from these oral traditions, then people began to to write down these accounts.
