I'm telling you people, this blew me away.
In the most remote areas, there are people standing around with Broncos jerseys on, with Knights jerseys, standing there with Queensland State of Origin jerseys on.
And the other thing that really struck me is they have all these huge screens.
About every 10 mile, they have this huge screen.
They were just sitting in the middle of nowhere.
When we ended up getting to the place, the place –
We went to – they got us to – we went to meet the Hooley tribe.
The Hooley are one of the most ancient and remote villages in the world.
And it was – I tell you, I still get goosebumps thinking about being there.
And it was like you have to have very special dispensation to go there.
We sat with the chief of the tribe, me and the Newcastle chief, sat with the chief of the Hooley.
And through an interpreter, he was telling us about –
talking about the history of the place, talking about the wars they've endured, talking about the modern world bit by bit encroaching on them, talking about the first Europeans who ever stumbled into the tribe when he was just a boy, all these things.
And in the middle of this village, in a village which their staple diet is python, you've got three-year-old kids walking around with knives.
It is just unbelievable how they raise their kids.
In the middle of all that, there's a football field.
In the middle of it, there is a rugby league field.
And they were like, oh, mate, would you have a game?
