Not known Belly Ake personally, but I've known of him since I was eight years old.
When I was an eight-year-old boy, it's funny.
In 1980, I was sandboys for my dad's side, Cessna Goennas, and they used to play against the Macquarie Nodded Scorpions, and Belly Ake played in that side.
In fact, there was a guy, there was Belly Ake, a fella called Phil Carey, another fella.
Oh.
I'll think of his name in a second.
But those three fellas, Mal Graham, all went down and played for the Canberra Raiders in their first season.
