There's also that the White House is considering other moves to address student debt forgiveness.
There's this $10,000 number that's been talked about a lot.
There's a lot of pressure that President Biden is getting from progressive members of his party to forgive students.

It's not clear that the administration is planning to move on that anytime soon, but they do seem focused on making some incremental improvements.
And just last week, the Biden administration announced that it would make it easier for lower income student loan borrowers to get debt forgiveness through income driven repayment plans, which have been plagued with problems.
So they do seem focused on sort of a smaller scale set of fixes to the student loan system.
The most important thing is to make sure you make your monthly payments on time.
It's something that can affect your credit score, your ability to get a home loan, to get an auto loan.
It's also something that if you are in an income-driven repayment plan or seeking forgiveness through another federal forgiveness program, if your payments are late, they won't necessarily count for that.
So that's something to be aware of.
And then you should also just make sure you're in a plan that makes sense for you.
What might have made sense two years ago could be different now.
So it's just something to look into.
