So how would an El Nino lower hurricane chances in the south? voice-verified

And so the the basic answer to that is that there would just be fewer we expect fewer storms. voice-verified

It's not necessarily regionally specific. voice-verified

It's just that we expect that wind shear across the Atlantic where tip poor storms typically form. voice-verified

So the fewer storms you voice-verified

have the lower chances you have to get hit is but unfortunately with the warmer sea surface temperatures in the areas that don't have shear, you might have a higher probability of getting a a homegrown storm, warm one that forms pretty close to the coastline. voice-verified

with as dry as things had been, people were actually requesting a weak tropical storm to sit over the state for a while. voice-verified

Oh thank goodness rainy season did kick off a little early and we've been getting some decent rain to catch up on our our drought and our deficit. voice-verified
