Surely this is energizing enough.
Yeah, in many ways, not such a new phenomenon, particularly for the Kardashian dynasty.
Well, there's a few different factors, but the first part of this were these frontier models that came out of China that essentially took people by surprise.
They compete with some of the most advanced AI models that we see from the US, but of course, built on a very sort of from an ideological point of view, built from a very different point of view all around this idea of the open model.
And that has then been shortly followed by other developments.
We've had, for example, CXMT coming to market a huge bumper IPO.
Essentially, that shows that China is also able to meet these sort of vast financing demands.
that we see from chip making, which is, of course, used and critical in the development of AI.
And then even more recently, we've also had this news that this lithography, this type of lithography machine that people essentially just did not believe that China was able to produce themselves, are also being produced domestically.
So on all these three different really key fronts,
where essentially there was this feeling that the US had a real edge and a real lead.
And in terms of even things that we think about US export controls, that actually China would never be able to, or would take a long time, years and years to actually start competing with, China's already showing that they are catching up.
And I think
More broadly, I mean, China is definitely a latecomer to all of these three things.
But investors are right to be nervous in a way.
So I think there are a couple of different ways to cut at this question.
