So I was in this awesome empty nester situation and I had a degree in finance and I worked in financial services, which did pay pretty well.

So I had a nice little it girl apartment on the Gold Coast in Chicago and I sold my car and walked to work every day.

And I, you know, I bought all the shoes.

It was like kind of like,

like that.

I had the cute clothes.

I went to the trendy bars and restaurants with my friends.

I bought the shoes.

I did the things.

And I was so discouraged with dating that I would sometimes take

time off from it and just think, you know what?

I've got a great life.

I'm successful at my job.

I have these things.

I have these grown kids.

I love my family.

I've got great friends.

I can go on trips.

I can buy the things.

And so I would just buy things or do things.
