They like to throw things in there to create different headlines.

And this certainly was something that they thought was going to excite their base.

You know, here we are supporting the January 6th insurrectionists.

These are, you know,

people who were convicted and sentenced by their peers.

And they thought that this was going to be a positive headline for them.

And it just turned out to be more of a negative than they expected.

And they didn't expect senators, Republican senators, Republican House members were going to object in the way that

They have objected.

And so we're seeing the impact peddling now and saying that the slush fund was never a real thing.

We didn't put a commission together.

We're never really serious about it.

I mean, and the parents and the siblings and the neighbors of those 200 schoolgirls certainly didn't ask for them to be slaughtered in that way.

And so the idea that we wage war and think that we're somehow helping people when we are killing people, when we are displacing people, when we are

deepening divides and destruction and causing economic harm is just something I'm over and I think most people in America are over that as well.

I mean, as a lawmaker, as an American, it sounds absurd that something like that can happen.

And, you know, the idea that the Department of Justice would be seen and utilized

by the president as his own to target his adversaries, to defend his,

you know, illegal activities is something I would say that the founding fathers of this country would have frowned upon.

And it just goes to show how far detached we have become to what the ideals of America are supposed to be, what the values that are enshrined in our constitution are supposed to be,
