And it was the oversight committee that was pushing to try to say, no, it wasn't enough.
And ultimately the judge decided to reject the plea.
And so considering everything that took place and considering where we are in this country, I say way to go.
Oh, my gosh.
So thankfully, I did not contract COVID.
I don't know how, except for God knew that I needed to be on the campaign trail because somehow my mama, my daddy, as well as my driver all ended up contracting COVID and they interacted with less people.
But let me tell you something.
Listen, I'm taking mine as well as my vitamins and everything else.
But that really was the most difficult thing that I've ever had to do.
I've spoken in a lot of venues.
I've spoken to all different types of crowds.
But I felt as if I was needing to deliver a solid closing argument in a short amount of time as to why the American people, not just Democrats, but the American people should look to Kamala Harris for leadership.
Number one, I basically took my jabs at Trump by definitely pointing out the hypocrisy of the Republicans, by putting that on full display because of all the things that they claim to love.
And he is the antithesis of all those things.
In addition to trying to make sure that people understand who she is on a deeper level, it was very frustrating as people started trying to pretend as if she wasn't Black and all this other kind of stuff.
And I know that people always look at me and think I'm super Black.
So I thought it was really important that I share what the initial interaction was like between the two of us so that people could, number one, if they have any questions, find out that, yes, she really is Black.
But also,
really just find out that she's actually a good person with a good heart.
And I hope that that came across.
