And I remember my dad told me, he said, put an American flag on top of that mulch pile.
And I did.
And he said, this thing's bigger than that.
Daddy's a World War II veteran, nothing.
He's calm under fire, man.
Him and mama both were wonderful people.
Mama flew an airplane during the Second World War, Depression era, didn't have electricity.
She's a senior in high school.
They were tough people and they didn't like what they were doing to me.
And apparently the public didn't either.
Because I knocked on, I said, I knocked on over 6,000 doors and beat up
respected incumbent, I guess, in the primary.
And I never looked back.
And I became, I was in the state house for four years, state Senate for 12 years.
And that's sort of been my thing, even with the UFOs.
My thing is when people come to me, because you can hire a lobbyist, you can hire,
a lawyer, but the average working guy, they call the front desk and they ask, can I speak to Tim?
Because they think they know me because the government's ripped them off.
And I always remember during that time,
It was when, do you remember Travelgate under the Clinton administration?
