then we started bombing the country.
So of course, the regime's not going to give up.
And as I was saying before, they want to survive.
To them, they're such religious fanatics that to them, dying for this, they are martyrs.
And living, they've lived to see another day.
So it's just the population that is suffering at the end of all of this.
And
Look, I mean, I always say like the war in Iraq was a horrific mistake.
In that war, at least our stated intent was democracy.
Like we at least were pretending like we had good intentions and like cared about people.
In this situation, we're not even doing that.
We are just outright bombing left and right,
civilian infrastructure.
And like, there's just no, I don't see how we're doing anything to win hearts and minds.
It's devastating.

I'm rambling a little bit because it's very emotional.
