We found that the cage mate intensively interacted with the anesthetized one. With careful setup of cameras, we captured detailed behaviors of the cage mate biting the mouth and the tongue and pulling out the tongue of the unresponsive peer. We do know that mouth and tongue biting induces pain, which expedites recovery from unconsciousness.
